Faulkner & Chapman Landscape Design created a contemporary, low maintenance garden for a modern house in Sandringham. Natural stone was utilized for feature walls and the courtyard waterfeature as a contrast to the plain rendered walls and light colored concrete pavers. The garden features a large Canary Island date palm, that was installed utilizing a crane, as a feature for the front courtyard.  The palm is underplanted with low water use foliage accent plants and the garden beds are mulched with colored river pebble. The central courtyard has a wall waterfeature with water cascading over natural stone into a pond with stepping stones 'floating over'. The rear courtyard has been designed for entertaining with space for a table and chairs, Raised stone faced garden bed walls that also are used for seating and a built in BBQ. Low maintenance, foliage planting surrounds the courtyard.
