WILLIAMSTOWN TUSCAN GARDEN

Faulkner and Chapman designed a 'Tuscan' inspired renovation to an existing pool. We incorporated a covered, paved entertaining area at the rear of the pool utilising the back of the garage as a backdrop. We incorporated a stained Oregon pergola with 'Makrolon' glass roofing over to ensure the area was protected from the elements but still allowed plenty of light into a previously dark and unused area of the garden. Rendered walls were provided at the sides of the entertaining space to further reduce the effects of cross winds and also to comply with pool fencing regulations. Natural stone piers were used with the pool fence as decorative design elements. A glass tiled spa was added into the pool design and the backdrop wall finished off the spa and separated it from the entry path. 'Maison' limestone pavers were used to finish off the 'Tuscan' effect. Low maintenance planting of liriopes and hebes was added to complement existing palms and conifers.
